U.S.-China Factline is an independent, nonpartisan initiative dedicated to promoting clarity, accountability, and accuracy in the public conversation surrounding U.S.-China relations. Our goal is to give factual information that counters false narratives on both sides. Most importantly, we aim to deliver our stories in an approachable manner so that everyone, regardless of their background, is able to understand them. We track news stories, viral claims, and political statements to serve timely insights grounded in fact and not ideology. We hope to contribute to a more informed and productive public discourse, as well as reduce the damage done by rumors and speculation in the world’s most consequential bilateral relationship.
